Roles members get without asking — either automatically on join, or as a reward for doing something.

Autoroles

Roles handed out the moment someone joins.
Requires Manage Roles.
If your server has a membership screening rule (“Complete the rules screening”), members are technically in the server but pending before they accept. Autoroles apply after they accept, not on the initial join — which is the behaviour you want, but catches people out when testing.

Booster roles

Boosters get a personal role they name and colour themselves. It’s the single most reliable boost incentive.

For boosters

boosterrole dominant pulls the colour straight out of their avatar, which is the option most people end up using. Aliases for the group: color, br, cr.

Sharing

A booster can hand their custom role to other members. boosterrole share remove is what the recipient runs to drop a role they were given.

For admins

boosterrole base sets the position new booster roles are created at, so they cluster in one place instead of scattering through your role list. boosterrole sync (alias organized) re-sorts existing ones and cleans up roles whose owner stopped boosting. Requires Manage Roles; clear requires Administrator.

Vanity roles

Reward members who put your server’s vanity URL in their custom status. Only available if your server has a vanity URL (level 3 boosts).
mira watches custom statuses. When someone’s contains your vanity — /mira or discord.gg/mira — they get the role. When they remove it, the role goes. Requires Manage Roles. Aliases: vr.

Server tag roles

Discord’s server tags feature lets members display a small server badge next to their name. This rewards them for using yours. Only available if your server has the tags feature enabled.
tag sync scans the whole member list and grants the role to everyone already wearing the tag. Run it once after setting things up. Requires Administrator. Aliases: badge, servertag, guildtag.

Level roles

Roles granted at level milestones. Covered fully on the Levels page:
